SRC Self-Check 2026: E-Invoice and Tax Reporting Verification Without Penalties

Starting from April 28, 2026, the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of the Republic of Kazakhstan has introduced a new self-check service within the Taxpayer’s Cabinet (ISNA). This tool enables businesses to perform desk audits independently using the same algorithms applied by tax authorities.

What is the SRC Self-Check Service

The new SRC self-check service automatically matches data from electronic invoices (E-Invoices) and tax reporting. This allows businesses to identify discrepancies between E-Invoices and tax returns in advance, without waiting for official notifications.

If inconsistencies are detected, instead of issuing a formal notice, the system generates an internal discrepancy report. This gives businesses the opportunity to correct errors proactively by submitting an additional tax return – without penalties or administrative consequences.

How Desk Audit Works via ISNA

The process closely mirrors actual tax audits:

  • * E-Invoice and tax reporting data are analyzed
  • * discrepancies and inconsistencies are identified
  • * a list of issues is generated for correction

The key advantage is the ability to submit amended tax returns before any violation is formally recorded by tax authorities.

What Errors the System Detects

The SRC self-check service typically identifies:

  1. mismatches between E-Invoices and tax returns
  2. incorrect transaction reporting
  3. duplicated data
  4. incomplete reporting of turnover

These issues are the primary triggers for desk audits and additional tax assessments.

What This Means for Business

The introduction of the self-check service shifts tax control into a proactive model. Businesses are no longer reacting to audits – they can identify and address risks in advance.

At the same time, requirements for accounting accuracy are increasing. Errors become visible much faster, meaning that businesses must:

  1. process E-Invoices in a timely manner
  2. regularly reconcile data
  3. ensure accuracy of tax returns

This is especially critical for companies with high transaction volumes or partially manual processes.

What Businesses Should Do Now

To minimize risks, companies should:

  1. reconcile E-Invoices with tax reporting
  2. implement regular internal data checks
  3. promptly submit amended returns when discrepancies arise
  4. reduce manual errors through process improvements

The new service makes transparency a mandatory standard, not a recommendation.
